The Chicom threat to the US

Federalist Wire: ... Rep. Darin LaHood, a Republican from Illinois, recently sounded an alarm about China’s long-term strategy to overtake the United States. On the “John Solomon Reports” podcast, he laid out a sobering assessment of Beijing’s goals. “China has a plan to replace the United States, and they’re working at it every single day,” LaHood said. “I don’t say that to scare people. That’s the reality. They want to beat us technologically, militarily, economically and diplomatically. And the sooner we wake up to that, the better.” His words point to a growing concern in Washington: China’s methodical pursuit of global dominance. The U.S.-China relationship has grown increasingly tense in recent years, with disputes spanning trade, technology, and national security. From tariffs to tech bans, the two nations have clashed over issues that shape the global order. LaHood’s comments come at a time when American policymakers are grappling with how to counter China’s advances whil...

Man accused of attempting killing of GOP congressman

Trending Politics: A Republican congressman was run off the road and nearly killed Thursday after a far-left individual attempted to ram him with their car while traveling at high speed. The incident occurred along an Indiana highway where Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) said he avoided his brush with death in Rocky River, a small city sitting along Lake Erie to the state’s northeast. There, “the life of me and my family was threatened by a person who proceeded to show a Palestinian flag before taking off,” he wrote on X while sharing a video describing the harrowing encounter. “I have filed a police report with Capitol Police and the local police department. We know who this person is and he will face justice,” he went on. ... I don't know if the accused in this case will try the insanity defence, but trying to attack a political opponent with a car wreck is pretty insane.  The Palestinians do not have much of a case against the Israelis.  The Palestinians are the squatters in t...

Evidence that China rigged 2020 US election

Headline USA: Trump Calls for DOJ to Investigate 2020 Election after Records about Chinese Interference Emerge The FBI issued a recall notice directing agencies to erase and delete copies of the original report, which described how China may have shipped “tens of thousands” of pro-Biden “fraudulent mail-in votes"... ... ... I agree that there are significant questions about the 2020 election. It would not be surprising that the Chicoms would favor a weak Biden administration over a strong Trump administration.  There should be an investigation to find those directly responsible for rigging the 2020 election, or it might happen again.  If China was directly involved in the 2020 rigging, there should be consequences for China and those in the US who were responsible.

'Act of God' joins Israel's attacks on Iran

Trending Politics: An earthquake ripped across northern Iran on Friday, prompting speculation about what it may mean in the midst of heavy bombing by Israel that has entered its eighth day. A 5.2 magnitude quake was recorded near Semnan, according to Iranian state media. The city and province, both of the same name, sit roughly three hours east of Tehran. The Daily Wire’s Kassy Akiva notes that the location is significant because Semnan is home to the Semnan Missile Complex, one of Iran’s largest ballistic testing grounds for much of the arsenal that has been fired at Israel in counterstrikes since last week. The U.S. Geological Survey also reported 4.2 magnitude earthquakes in Riyush and Faryab, and a 5.1 magnitude quake in Sorkheh. ... The Jewish nation launched a preemptive attack last week, decimating the Iranian air force and outstripping its ability to defend from Israeli jets that now patrol the nation’s skies. Akiva cautioned that Iran is historically one of the most seis...

Supreme Court nails the case against the trans movement

PJ Media: ... This case,  United States v. Skrmetti , marks a major win for sanity and a brutal loss for the transgender cult and its allies in the Democratic Party. The court’s majority sided with Tennessee and 24 other states that have passed similar laws, acknowledging the obvious: Kids shouldn’t be subjected to life-altering hormones and surgeries before they’re old enough to drive, vote, or buy cough syrup. Predictably, the court’s three liberal justices — Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, and Ketanji Brown Jackson — dissented, clinging to the same radical ideology that’s already wreaked havoc in schools, medicine, and law. But for now, sanity and common sense have prevailed. Chief Justice John Roberts meticulously detailed the origins of the medicalized trans movement in his majority opinion, tracing it back to the 1979 formation of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). This is the same group that started pushing puberty blockers in 1989 and rec...

Polling shows voters reject Dems' open border policy

Red State: New polling has crushed Democrats' fantasy about their chances of regaining power through their public opposition to President Donald Trump's immigration policy. According to  Politico's Playbook  on Thursday, there is more support from Democrats and Independents for Trump's actions to end the massive influx of illegal immigrants in our country than the party might have believed. The polling suggests Trump's actions could bring in swing voters ahead of the 2026 midterms for the Republican Party. The report read: There was even greater Democratic (and independent) support for Trump's approach to immigration, suggesting opposition attacks on his controversial deportations are not widely resonating.  In total, 49 percent of voters approved of the administration's handling of immigration, vs. 33 percent who disapproved. Strikingly, a quarter of all Kamala Harris 2024 voters approved of the president's immigration policy. That's quite a number...

Hegseth responds to Dem question about immigration

Federalist Wire: ... The streets of Los Angeles recently descended into turmoil, with anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) riots exposing a stark divide between those who prioritize law and order and those who turn a blind eye to chaos. On Wednesday, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth faced off against Democrat Hawaii Senator Mazie Hirono during a tense Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, where she accused the Trump administration of deploying “lethal force” against civilians. Hirono’s pointed questions aimed to paint President Donald Trump’s decision to deploy the National Guard and U.S. Marines as an escalation of tensions. She pressed Hegseth, asking, “Do you plan to unleash this lethal force against U.S. citizens and civilians in LA and other cities?” Her framing suggested a reckless use of force, ignoring the reality of Molotov cocktails, burning cars, and assaults on law enforcement that have plagued Los Angeles. The senator’s rhetoric plays nicely with the Democr...

9th Circuit overrules Dem judge on Trump's policy against illegals in LA

Blaze: The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit overruled a Clinton judge and delivered some bad news to California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) that might wipe the default grin off his face. Exercising his constitutional and statutory powers , President Donald Trump deployed the National Guard to Los Angeles on June 7, noting that the anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement riots constituted "a form of rebellion against the authority of the Government of the United States." Newsom — among the many Democrats who downplayed the violence and appeared sympathetic to the rioters' cause — asked a federal district court judge to force Trump to surrender control of the federalized California National Guard. U.S. District Court Judge Charles Breyer, a Bill Clinton appointee, sided with Newsom, claiming on June 12 that Trump's actions "were illegal — both exceeding the scope of his statutory authority and violating the Tenth Amendment of the United States Constitut...

Democrats continue to push open border policy

Federalist Wire: ... The 2024 election delivered a clear message: Americans demand secure borders and robust law enforcement. Yet, Democrats seem deaf to this call, doubling down on policies that obstruct federal agencies like Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Former ICE acting director Jonathan Fahey, in a scathing critique, accused Democrats of learning nothing from their electoral losses and instead working tirelessly to undermine immigration enforcement. “They’re doing everything they can to impede and obstruct any ICE enforcement,” Fahey said during an appearance on Tennessee GOP Sen. Marsha Blackburn’s “Unmuted” podcast, shared first with the Daily Caller News Foundation. His remarks highlight a growing frustration with Democrats’ apparent refusal to support basic law and order, choosing instead to disrupt federal efforts at every turn. Fahey, who led ICE during the final days of Trump’s first term, pointed to the Democrats’ post-election behavior as evidence of th...

Guilty pleas for USAID officials

Trending Politics: Roderick Watson, a former U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) employee who worked under the Biden administration, and three businessmen have pleaded guilty to participating in a $550 million bribery scheme involving the embattled agency. Watson, a Maryland native, is alleged to have received bribes valued north of $1 million in exchange for using his position as a trusted overseer of taxpayer money to direct 14 prime federal contracts to two consulting companies, Apprio and Vistant, which were contracted with USAID. Watson, 57, pleaded guilty to bribery of a public official and faces up to 15 years in federal prison. He is currently scheduled to be sentenced this upcoming October. As part of the wide-reaching scheme, Vistant owner Walter Barnes and Darryl Britt, owner of Apprio, used Paul Young, the president of a subcontractor used by both Vistant and Apprio, as a middleman in order to facilitate some of the bribes that went to Watson, the Justice...

Criminal enterprise in New York

Betsy McCaughy: Pro-crime Democrats are propelling New York toward anarchy and financial ruin. The seven candidates vying for the Democratic nomination for Gotham's mayor unanimously oppose increasing penalties for farebeaters. That includes frontrunners Andrew Cuomo and Zohran Mamdani. Their refusal to crack down on farebeaters — all by itself — disqualifies them for the city's top job. These pols do not regard law-abiding New Yorkers as their constituents. Instead they're siding with criminals and left-wing ideologues who excuse crime as a side effect of society's imperfections. ... Are there enough farebeaters to win an election in New York? When I worked there, it never crossed my mind not to pay for transportation.

US sanctions 5 Mexican cartel members

Washington Examiner: The Treasury Department on Wednesday sanctioned five key leaders of the Mexican crime syndicate Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generacion, which is responsible for trafficking fentanyl and other illicit drugs into the United States. The new sanctions freeze any assets owned by the cartel and prohibit U.S. citizens from doing business with the group. ... “CJNG’s reign of terror across Mexico and its trafficking of fentanyl into the United States has destroyed countless innocent lives,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a   statement . “The United States remains strongly committed to leveraging all available tools to degrade the capacity of CJNG and other cartels to flood our streets with dangerous drugs and perpetrate heinous acts of violence against civilians.” CJNG was one of eight criminal enterprises that the State Department designated as “foreign terrorist organizations” and “specially designated global terrorists” in February. This particular car...
